We’re thrilled to share that HoldFastX is now officially endorsed by the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
HoldFastX is a global youth campaign blending pop culture, ocean storytelling, and resilience-building. Rooted in the old sailor’s mantra “Hold Fast”, the campaign reimagines perseverance as a learnable, shareable skill. Brought to life through strong visual identity, iconic ambassadors, and multimedia content.
Grounded in research showing that passion, preserverance, and mindset are key predictors of happiness and life quality. The campaign features ocean-inspired crafts (like the signature mittens designed by Une Cecilie Oksvold), original content from Arctic sailor Ella Hibbert, freediver Li Karlsen, and photographer Christa Funk, and a micro-grant initiative to fulfil dreams.
Aimed at those aged 18–30, HoldFastX aligns with Ocean Decade Theme 5 and Challenge 10, working to make the ocean personal again; something to belong to, dream through, and hold fast to.
We begin on World Ocean Day, 8 June, with the first content drop and a gift you won’t want to miss. The full campaign platform launches 1 September.
